For celebrating the Chinese New Year, A tea party was held in GuangzhouFudaCancerHospital for all hospitalized patients from Europe, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines and medical staff together.

The celebrating tea parties were held in GuangzhouFudaCancerHospital respectively at afternoons of February 2, and February 3, 2008. These foreign patients come from all over the world such as the United Kingdom, Denmark, Switzerland, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippine. Our hospital president, department directors and head nurses all attended the party.

Doctor Mufeng, the president assistant hosted the party the Party. The President of Fuda Hospital, Professor Xu Kecheng extended his heartfelt congratulations to all patients. And hope them taking care of themselves for recuperating, and share the festive joy with Chinese friends.

Professor Xu Kecheng mentioned that now in central and southern China have encountered snowstorm disaster that never happened in the past 50 years, the weather in Guangzhou were also cold. Although our hospital tried our best to provide heating equipments, but certainly there had deficiencies. Professor Xu expressed his apologizes to everyone and thanked for patients understanding for these temporary difficulties. Professor Xu also said that three months later, the new well-equipped modern build of Fuda hospital will be put into operation and will provide a very good medical environment to patients.

Many patients gave a little speech in the party and expressed their thanks for the careful treatments, medical care and life care of hospital staff, and they hoped Fuda can achieve greater successes in the coming new “Rat” Year.

The Vice president of our hospital, Dr. Niu attended the party and presented an Indonesian song for everybody.

Dr. Maria, wife of official of Indonesian Consulate General in Guangzhou and doctor of IndonesianNationalCancerHospital (Darmahas), attended the party and personally prepared Indonesian dessert for all participants.
